Income Tax

Take Home Calculator uses the latest tax information to calculate the deductions from your salary. Deductions are only made when your salary is over the Personal Allowance threshold.

Since April 2016, all tax payers have the same Personal Allowance of £12,570. However, from April 2010, tax payers that earn over £100,000 their Personal Allowance is deducted by £1 for every £2 they earn over £100,000 until their allowances reaches zero. So if you do not earn over the Personal Alllowance threshold, Income Tax is not deducted from your take home salary.

For those that are blind, you do get an extra £2,500 on their personal allowance and married people over the age of 87 receive a tax rebate, after other deductions have been made.
